Cosmetology institutes offer courses in hair cutting, styling, coloring, straightening, etc; others include training in facials, makeup, and massage and nail expertise. Some schools offer courses in spa or salon management or anatomical, physiological, biological and chemical studies.

A course in cosmetology costs around $5000 to $17000 depending totally upon the courses that you opt for or the level that you study them at. The course fees get you the course materials, practical work on the instruments provided by the institute and guidance by the faculty. Your earnings are a lot more than your investments. Statistical data shows that a cosmetologist can earn an income ranging from $30000 to $50000 per annum, depending on the work quality and the experience in the field.
