The art of drawing blood from the veins is known as Phlebotomy. Those who draw blood are known as Phlebotomists and they are experts in extraction of blood for the purpose of tests or blood transfusion.

Associate degrees in Phlebotomy can take up to 18 months to complete but bachelor’s degree programs can take longer duration.
