Later in 1951the same institute was rechristened as Kendall College as a symbol of honor to Washington National’s founders, Curtis P. Kendall and his family.
In its new avatar the college today teach more than 2000 undergraduates in culinary arts, hospitality management, psychology, business and childhood management.
Accredited to Higher Learning Commission Kendall College is also a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The history of the college is like a story of incessant innovation and growth.
The college’s famed school of culinary arts came into being in 1985. Though students could go for business programs from the very start of seventies, the business school was formed as late as 2007. In the case of hotels and hospitality related studies initially the name given to it was Bachelor of Arts in hotel and restaurant management. But, later in 2005 the program was renamed as Bachelor of Arts and Hospitality management.
All the schools at Kendall College provide international standard education in graduate courses offered by them. But the college is most famous for its culinary skills programs. It is easily understand from the fact that American Culinary Federation gives accreditation to two of its culinary programs; The Culinary Arts Associate and Baking and Pastry Associate programs.
The specialty of Kendall College lies in the standard and hands-on approach of its faculty. Be it the school of culinary arts, business, hotel management or education they are the experts in their respective fields.
Most of them do have professional experience in their field and they do play mentors and help the students accomplish their goals in life.
