Positioned in Hyde Park, New York, USA, the Culinary Institute of America is a not-for-profit educational institution that specializes in higher studies in various kinds of culinary arts.

The institute was first established in 1946 as the New Haven Restaurant Institute in New Haven, Connecticut. In 1951, the institute’s management rechristened it as ‘The Culinary Institute of America,’ and latter in 1970, the institute shifted to the present site of Hyde Park.

As of now, this private academic institution has an endowment amount of upto $64.2 mln and two branch campuses at Greystone in St. Helena in California & San Antonio, Texas.

The college offers full-time degree courses and awards Bachelor of Professional Studies (B.P.S.) and Associate of Occupational Studies (A.O.S.) in both Culinary Arts & Baking as well as Pastry Arts.

Apart from these degree courses, the college also offers programs for foodservice professionals like continuing education courses, certificate programs, and training materials.
