An interview is considered to be an important step towards getting a desirable job. It is the only process which when succeeded helps to crack the job. Hence, before facing an interview one needs to prepare ourselves thoroughly.
The most important, step before facing an interview is to update your resume. Beside this, one should know all the details mentioned in the resume and should also be able to explain them, when asked.
While facing an interview one should be able to assure, the interviewer that he is the right candidate for the desired position and fits the role. So, during the process of interview the candidate should highlight and explain all the details about his current and past job experiences, his qualifications and his achievements. In addition to this, one should also highlight his skills.
Before, facing an interview one should always practice and be prepared for some typical interview questions like –

- Why are you looking for a job change etc
Punctuality is always appreciated. For this, make sure you reach on time and are never late. It’s always better to reach the venue before time rather than being late and apologizing. Late comers always create a negative opinion about themselves.
One should always be dressed neatly and wear formal dress. Beside this, one should always carry his resume, a pen and a small note pad in his file.
During the interview as well as while waiting for the interview one should be calm, cool and composed. In addition to this, during the interview one should always –

- Answer questions with positive attitude
- Listen to interviewers patiently and should never interrupt.
- Show interest in the job position
At the end of the interview, one should always shake hand and thank the interviewers. One should also take their business card and later mail them a short thank you note.
