University of Massachusetts Medical School

Founded in 1962 University of Massachusetts Medical School located in Worcester, is one of the top medical school. It has earned the distinction of being “America’s Best Graduate School” according to 2010 U.S News and World Report. The main wings in the university are School of Medicine, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and the Graduate School of Nursing. Office of Continuing Medical Education (OCME) in UMMS is an accredited continuing education opportunities provided for healthcare professionals to enhance their career growth. A host of programs is made available through highly focused half day seminars, hands-on workshops and multi day symposium on primary care. It also accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Funding opportunities are available for research; the medical school receives more than $250 million per year for research funding. The research contrivance has impacted the lives of children and adults in the US and across the globe.

The Lamar Soutter Library provides access to more than 288,000 volumes and e-scholarship a digital archive offering a worldwide access to research output.
